CHINESE STUDY TOUR – 19th – 26th July 2009

For this project to go ahead we are asking for your assistance. We need families to host the students. Host families are given an allowance to provide accommodation and meals to the Chinese students. In the past, families have found this week to be fun, interesting and very rewarding. The Chinese student attends school and after school activities with your child/children. On the weekend we plan activities which you are welcome to attend. At the conclusion of the home stay (usually a Sunday night) we hold a concert and ceremony to farewell the students and thank the host families. Ideally host families will have students in Grades 4 - 6 at Spring Gully Primary School. This age group matches the age of the students from Nanjing.

If you think you may be able to host one or two students (prefer 2, even if this is a ‘camp/stretcher' bed), could you please fill in the attached form and return it to school ASAP. An information session for families will be held before the students arrive and a great deal of assistance is provided to assist families make this a very positive and enjoyable experience at many levels.
